Back in Africa
Safari time again. Though less Meryl Streep, and more the exotic, the prey, or at least, the photographed. (Thanks Bethany, for the photographs.)
Isadora New York vintage dress: $30. (Antique store next to Salt, Tears & Noshery on State Street.) Indeed, they do not make them like they used to.
The only closure on the entire, über cozy dress it the one button on the neck, creating that beautiful (and cooling) slash/gape. Have you ever noticed that vintage clothing design seems to think so much more thoroughly about how the lady will actually feel and move while wearing the garment? Lately, I’m hooked on old stuff. All the new stuff in my closet just looks so…sad and cheap (though not in actual dollars, which again begs the question, why buy it?).
Black felt hat: Borrowed. (My BF, Dan Costello, happens to have my exact same head size. Can we say intellectually compatible?)
RipCurl watch: $45 (Whiskey Militia). Banana Republic cocktail ring: Borrowed (Swiped from Kelly after she stayed over Saturday and left it in my guest room. Sucka!) Infinity awesome pen bird tattoo: $100.Jeffrey Campbell heels: $60 (Half off original MSRP at Piece Unique & Shoez.)
See you on the flipside.
