Naked the way Klein intended
Monday I attended the first evening of Story Story Late Night at the Visual Art Collective. Leaning against the walls of a nearly sold out event, people around me dropped their names into a boob shaped bowl. Later their names were drawn, they stood up on stage, and shared/confessed true life stories based on the theme Naked.
Calvin Klein Spring 2012
The combination of theme of the event and an image of Klein’s season line of nude dresses inspired this outfit.
Nude slip: Jockey, Dillard’s 1 year ago
Silk button up shirt: Guddi’s Fashion, Shanghai Tailor, thrift store
Silver leggings: Wet Seal, forever ago
Everything in this outfit was scrounge from items I already own. I don’t go out and buy an outfit for a specific occasion as I used to.
My five-year-old self now dresses me. I grab everything that looks fun to wear, nude slip, metallic leggings, flowing silk button-up shirt, concho belt, and gold heels.
Gold shoes: Worthington, gift from Anna, thrift store
Silver Native American concho belt: gift, second hand from my mom
Kelly calls this look new age chic.
And now for the Story Story Late Late Night show.
