I have a really hard time wearing t-shirts. I feel like they never quite fit right, and I tend not to like wearing things that broadcast an opinion or slogan of some sort. That, and I hate the feeling of t-shirt sleeves rubbing against my armpits…….
This week, I’m declaring an ode to the t-shirt. I challenged myself to wear this shirt (design by local illustrator Heather Bauer), and was surprised to find I really enjoyed it – I could get used to this t-shirt thing! I did, however, cut a bit off the sleeves of this one for the sake of my armpits……armpits.
T-shirt: from Bikes & Rec race “More Cowbell” Skirt: got it years ago at the now-defunct Ishi Boutique. I adore the material – it’s gauzy, light, and blows right over my head at the slightest breeze.
Glasses: from Mr. Peabody’s, by Salt Earrings: beautiful hand-dyed silk threads with hand-pounded jeweler’s steel. By Hazel Cox Necklace: Hand-pounded jeweler’s steel and copper, also by Hazel Cox (I worship her work….)
Purse: sweet little leather case, given to me by my dear friend Eliza Boots: yep, same ones as last week’s post. What can I say – they’re comfy!
Thought I’d also include a picture of a few (yes, few – I have around 50) of my Intentions perfumes. Each blend has its own unique color, thanks to the many different botanical oils; combine those lovely hues with a dreamy aroma and beautiful glass bottles……every perfume is a work of art. This week’s outfit called for something smoky and sultry. I chose Utopia – a sophisticated blend of fossilized amber, honeysuckle attar, and pepper.Utopia is a scent that Caitlyn made just for me. Her custom work is incredible – she blows my mind every time!
